What is the story of the casino in this quest?
The story follows a gentleman who placed a bet one legendary night and then vanished. The city's grandest casino has kept his chair empty ever since. A bundle of century-old letters names you to finish his game, and the route ends at the Casino Pavilion by the lake, where the empty seat waits.
Is this a treasure hunt in Cluj?
It works much like one. Your phone leads you through the old town of Cluj-Napoca stop by stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in the monuments and façades in front of you. Solving each one moves you along the gambler's trail toward the casino.
Where does it start and finish, and how far is the walk?
You start at the Post Office Palace and finish at the Casino Pavilion, so it is not a loop. The route covers about 2.7 km through the old town, passing places such as Matthias Corvinus House, Bánffy Palace, Reduta Palace and the Hungarian Opera.
How long does it take, and can we play as a group?
Most players take around two hours, including walking and puzzles. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so couples and groups of friends can share a single phone and work through the clues side by side.
