Through various puzzles, riddles, and fascinating information about the city, we aim to offer each participant a memorable experience, full of discoveries and good cheer. We want this evening to be not just a fun adventure, but also an opportunity to better understand the stories of Cluj, in an interactive and lively way. 

Every step you take, every riddle you solve, adds a new page to your own adventure through the spirit of the city.

Families with school-age children and couples who enjoy riddles will get about two hours of light puzzle play across central Cluj, passing the Ethnographical Museum, the Tailors' Bastion, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the House of Matthias Corvinus on the way. The route covers 4.4 km on foot and outdoors, so anyone who cannot walk that far, or would rather have a live guide to question, should choose something else.

Is there a treasure hunt in Cluj-Napoca?
Yes. This is a self-guided treasure hunt through central Cluj, played on your phone. The app leads you between 12 stops, tells the story of each place and sets a riddle based on what is in front of you. It is free to play and you can start whenever you like.
Does the game start at the Casino, and where does it finish?
Yes, it starts at the Casino – Urban Culture Centre. From there it passes In Memoriam 1956, the Art Museum, Babeș-Bolyai University and the Firefighters' Tower, among other stops. It finishes at the Pharmacy Museum, not back at the Casino.
How long does the treasure hunt take?
Most players take around two hours, including the walking and the puzzles. The route is about 4.4 km. You can pause in the app and continue later, so you can stop for a coffee or split it over two outings.
Is it suitable for children?
It is tagged family friendly, and the riddles and city stories suit school-age children who can manage a walk of about 4.4 km over two hours. Bring water, a hat and sunscreen on warm days, and dress respectfully if you go inside the cathedral.
Do we need to book a time or join a group?
No. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, and the game is free to play. Start at the Casino whenever suits you, play at your own pace and make sure your phone is charged or bring a power bank.
