You set the pace across about 2 hours 15 minutes of stories and puzzles, with no scheduled mob tour to fit around. It is tagged not for kids, so families with children should look elsewhere.

Yes. This quest is a self-guided walk played on your phone that mixes Chicago's gangster history with the story of the city's rebuilding after the Great Fire. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells each place's story and sets a puzzle at each one. There is no guide and no group to join.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Exchequer Restaurant & Pub downtown and finishes at Holy Name Cathedral Rectory on the Near North Side, so it does not return to the start. On the way you pass the Palmer House, the Jewelers Building, the DuSable Bridge, Tribune Tower and the Old Chicago Water Tower District.
How long does it take and how far do you walk?
Most players take about 2 hours 15 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers around 4 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so it is easy to stop for a meal or a break along the way.
Is this quest suitable for children?
