Over about 2.5 hours they inspect curious objects, run fetch quests and solve puzzles from Seven Dials and The Lanes to the Pier. Anyone who wants a live guide to ask about Brighton's past, or who cannot comfortably walk 4.6 km, should pick something else.

Is this quest good for young teens?
Yes. It suits children aged roughly 8 to 14, and young teens tend to enjoy tracking down a mythical gull, running fetch quests and solving puzzles set in the streets around them. Younger children may tire on a 4.6 km walk that takes about 2.5 hours.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at The Station and finishes at The Golden Spiral, so it does not return to where you began. On the way you pass Seven Dials, The Clock Tower, The North Laine, The Palace, The Lanes and The Pier, among other stops.
How long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
Most players take about 2.5 hours, walking and puzzles included, over roughly 4.6 km. There is no set time slot, so you can start whenever suits you, and you can pause and continue later if you want a break along the way.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together. You follow the story and puzzles on a phone, with no guide and no other players to join, so it works well for a family or a small group of friends exploring at their own pace.
Does the route pass the Clock Tower?
Yes. The Clock Tower is the sixth stop, reached after The Old Church and followed by The North Laine. As at every stop, the app tells the story of the place and sets a puzzle based on what you can see in front of you.
