Explore the ancient streets, the port, and the secret sites of old Jaffa through a one-of-a-kind walking tour.
During the tour you will slowly unravel the heroic story of the gatekeeper who is desperately trying to escape the city. You will use your phone to follow clues and solve puzzles in your surroundings while discovering some of Jaffa's most beautiful landmarks.
You will get to see the skyline of Tel Aviv, learn some fascinating bits of history, and most of all, you'll get to feel the rhythm of the magical Ottoman period in Jaffa.

Couples and small groups new to Tel Aviv can walk Old Jaffa from the Clock Tower to the port in about an hour and a half, following an Ottoman-era gatekeeper's escape through puzzles set in the streets. If you want a live guide to answer questions about Jaffa's history as you go, a guided walk will suit you better.

Is this a free walking tour of Jaffa?
No, it is a paid self-guided game played on your phone, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no guide and no group to join. Your phone leads you between the stops, tells the story of each place and sets the puzzles.
Is it family friendly during the day?
You can start at any time of day and pause whenever you need a break, then continue later. The route covers about 2.1 km over roughly an hour and a half and climbs to the top of the hill, so it suits children who can manage that walk and enjoy solving puzzles.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Clock Tower and finishes at the Port, so it does not end where it began. In between you pass the Sabil, the Gate, Three Cannons, the Top of the Hill, the Wishing Bridge, Kdumim Square, Fish are served at two and the Wheel of Directions.
How long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
Most players take about an hour and a half, including walking and puzzles, over roughly 2.1 km. There is no set start time, so you begin whenever suits you, and you can pause partway and pick it up again later.
