No. It is a self-guided outdoor walk through Kitsilano played on your own phones. Instead of watching actors, you do the detective work yourselves, gathering clues and interrogating suspects at each stop. The route passes several cafes and restaurants, so you can add a meal before, after or during a pause.
How is it different from an escape room?
You still solve puzzles to crack the case, but you do it outdoors, using what is in front of you at each place on the route. There is no room to book and no timed slot. You start whenever you like, and the app leads you from one stop to the next.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at the Kinuko Laskey Statue in Kitsilano. Plan on around 90 minutes to cover the 6.2 km route, with stops including KITS Cafe & Eyewear, the Purple Bench and Oddfish Restaurant. You can pause at any point and continue later.
Is it a good thing to do in Vancouver in November?
