There’s more than one reason to create

What would you like to bring to life?

Your knowledge. A whole new way to share it.

Turn the stories you tell into an adventure visitors can play themselves. Recommend it after a tour, or bring your guests along and solve the clues together.

You bring the idea. We give it a place to play.

From “what if” to “let’s play”.

A quest connects real places with stories and challenges. Your players follow it in the Questo app, one discovery at a time.

Start small. One good walk is a great beginning.

  1. 1

    Pick the places

Map a walk you know. Choose interesting stops and give players clear directions between them.

  2. 2

    Make people look closer

Add a story, a question or a challenge at each stop. You can use photos and hints to help bring it to life.

  3. 3

Walk it. Play it. Improve it.

Try the route in the real world. Check every answer and direction, then invite others to test the experience.

  4. 4

    Get it ready for players

Submit your quest for review. Public quests go through testing before paid publication; private quests have a simpler approval path.

Before your first idea becomes a quest

A few good questions.

Curious is a good place to start.

Do I need coding or writing experience?

No coding is needed. You add places, directions, stories and challenges in the builder. Start with a place you know and a simple idea; you can develop the story as you go.

What do I need before I start?

An idea and a place to explore are enough to begin a draft. To finish, you will need a walkable route, clear directions, clues with answers, and time to test the experience on location.

Is it free to try?

Yes. Try the first steps here without an account. Create a free creator account when you want to save your idea and continue in the full editor.

How long does making a quest take?

That depends on your route and story. You can sketch an idea in one sitting, then come back to write, walk the route and refine the clues. Plan time for testing and review before publishing.

Can I earn money?

Yes. Approved paid public quests can earn a revenue share under a creator agreement. Your earnings depend on paid play and the agreed terms. Creating a draft does not automatically publish it or guarantee income.

Can I make something just for my friends?

Yes. You can create a private quest for a special occasion or your own group. Private quests still need to follow the guidelines and be safe to play; they follow a simpler approval path than public paid quests.

Your city. Your story. Your first quest.

You don’t need the whole story yet. Just an idea you’d love someone else to experience.
