Misja: Twoja historia w New Orleans

You are a tourist in New Orleans, looking to escape the bustle of the city. You rode the streetcar to City Park, wanting to see for yourself the park’s ancient oaks and hidden gems.

In the shade of crepe myrtles, you walk along Lelong Drive toward the New Orleans Museum of Art. You notice things are a little overgrown. Vines are overtaking trees.

The grass is nearly up to your waist. To your right, the Big Lake is overflowing its banks. This can’t be normal, you say to yourself. Something is wrong.

Często Zadawane Pytania

What’s the vibe of this quest?

You ride the streetcar to City Park thinking you’ll get some peace under ancient oaks, but something’s up — vines creeping, Big Lake overflowing. You spend your time solving clues, uncovering hidden art, and exploring the park’s history (from plantation days to sculpture gardens).

Who is this great for?

Perfect for:

couples wanting a romantic escape from city noise,

tourists who love nature + art + history mixed in,

families (especially with older kids) who like mixing walking + exploring.

How much time and walking is involved?

Expect to spend about 90-120 minutes, walking ~3.5 km, which is about 4,600 steps. Not rushed, plenty of time to stop and enjoy views.

What highlights will we see in the park?

You’ll pass by:

McDonogh Oak (has crazy old-tree energy),

Botanical Garden,

Sculpture art by Enrique Alférez,

Roosevelt Mall, and various hidden corners with stories.

Is this a good date idea?

Yes! Walking among live oaks, solving gentle puzzles, stopping by art installations — feels intimate and special without the pressure of a formal plan.
