O tej grze
Manchester hides more than rain and red bricks, its streets whisper of crimes long buried, waiting to be unearthed. In Murder in Manchester: Discover the City's Gruesome Past, you step into the shoes of Detective Superintendent Marshall, sent from Scotland Yard to reopen the city’s coldest murder cases.
But rules aren't your thing… and going solo may be the only way to crack what others couldn’t. As you walk the historic streets, solve real-world puzzles, follow eerie clues, and explore forgotten corners of the city with friends or family. Each stop brings you deeper into the mystery, and closer to the truth.
This is more than a game; it’s an atmospheric journey into Manchester’s darkest past. Stay sharp, detective. The city is waiting, and the shadows are watching.

Dla kogo jest
True-crime and dark-history fans, plus friends or families with older children who enjoy a grisly story, get to play a Scotland Yard detective reopening Manchester's coldest murder cases. Over about 4 km and around 90 minutes you solve puzzles at places such as Piccadilly Station, the Crown Court and the Quaker Burial Ground. If gruesome tales upset you or your children, or you would rather quiz a live guide, choose a gentler walk.

Kilka odpowiedzi przed wyjściem
Często zadawane pytania
Is this a murder mystery game in Manchester?
Yes. You play Detective Superintendent Marshall, sent from Scotland Yard to reopen the city's coldest murder cases. The app leads you between real locations, tells the story of each place and sets puzzles you solve using what is in front of you, following clues through the historic streets.
Can we do it in Manchester today without booking a time?
Yes. There is no time slot to book and no group or guide to meet, so you can start whenever suits you. If you need a break for food or a drink along the way, pause the game and continue later from where you stopped.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The walk starts and finishes on Hoyle Street, so you end up back where you began. The route covers about 4 km and takes around 90 minutes, passing places such as Manchester Town Hall, the Alan Turing Memorial and the Royal Exchange. Allow extra time for any breaks.
Can our whole group play together?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. Friends or family walk the route together and work on the puzzles as a team, which suits a group that likes talking through clues and theories as they go.
Is it outdoors, and do we need anything?
It is a walk through the city streets, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for about 4 km. Some clues may need your phone's flashlight, so bring a well-charged phone. You can pause the game if the rain gets heavy and pick it up later.
