Where does the Freud walking tour in Vienna start and finish?
It starts at Berggasse 32 and finishes at Palais Todesco, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass the Sigmund Freud Museum, the Votive Church, the University of Vienna, Café Landtmann, Café Central, Café Korb, the Jewish Museum of Vienna and the Vienna State Opera.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers around 3.5 km through central Vienna. You can pause whenever you like, for a coffee at one of the cafés on the way, and continue later.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. You follow the story and solve the puzzles side by side, there is no outside group to join and no guide, so you set your own pace.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. You can start whenever you want, as the route is open around the clock. Daylight hours are recommended, since the puzzles are set in what is in front of you at each stop and are easier to solve when you can see the details.
Do we need tickets for the museums or the opera on the route?
No attraction tickets are required to play. The quest leads you to places such as the Sigmund Freud Museum, the Jewish Museum of Vienna and the State Opera and tells their stories on the spot, without needing to go inside.
