Over deze quest
Forget every ghost story you've heard about this city. This Halloween, ten restless spirits are loose on its streets. 👻 No history book knows their names. No tour guide has heard of them. Most are just lost souls. One is lying to you. 💀
A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️
Is dit iets voor jullie?
Voor wie het is
Friends, couples and solo thrill-seekers who would rather catch ghosts than listen to a guide can track ten restless spirits through central Birmingham, cracking ciphers and riddles around Victoria Square, Chamberlain Square and Cathedral Square in about 90 minutes. Families with older kids who enjoy spooky puzzles fit in well. If you want a live guide on a night walk or have little ones easily scared by a hunt for an evil spirit, choose something else.

Veelgestelde vragen
Is this a guided ghost walk in Birmingham?
No. It is a self-guided ghost hunt played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells each spirit's story and sets a puzzle to solve. There is no guide and no fixed start time, so you walk about 1.9 km at your own pace.
Where does the ghost hunt start and where does it go?
It starts in Victoria Square. The route takes in Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Chamberlain Square, Umbra, the Albert W. Ketèlbey Blue Plaque and Cathedral Square, covering about 1.9 km in total and taking around 90 minutes to play.
Is it suitable for kids?
It suits older children, roughly 10 and up, who enjoy spooky stories. The theme is horror and haunts, with a lying spirit and an Evil One to name and destroy, and the puzzles include ciphers and riddles that some younger children may find hard or unsettling.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group playing together, so there is no need for everyone to buy separately. You do not book a time slot either. Start whenever suits you, and pause and continue later if you need a break along the way.
Is it an outdoor activity, and what if it rains?
Yes, it is a walk through the streets of central Birmingham, and some riddles can only be answered by looking at the street itself. Dress for the weather, and since you can pause and continue later, you can wait out a heavy shower.
