Questions fréquemment posées
Do I need a map to play?
No. The app on your phone leads you from place to place, telling the story of each stop and setting a puzzle in what is in front of you. Make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a power bank, as you will use it for close to three hours.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Venetian Fortress Rocca a Mare and finishes at Eleftherios Venizelos, so it is not a loop. Along the 3.8 km route you pass the Venetian Arsenals, Saint Titus, the Venetian Loggia, the Lions Fountain, Saint Minas, the Venetian Walls, Kazantzakis Grave, Jesus Gate and Bembo Fountain.
How long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
Most players take close to three hours, walking and puzzles included. There is no time slot to book, no group to join and no guide to wait for. Start whenever you like, and you can pause and continue later if you want a break for lunch or a museum.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged family friendly and a family favourite, with medium-difficulty puzzles, so it works best for older children who enjoy codes and clues. The route covers varied terrain and elevation over 3.8 km, and it is outdoors, so bring a hat, sunscreen and enough water.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or a family can follow the story and solve the puzzles side by side on the same quest through the old town.
