What will we see in Faro on this walk, and where does it start and finish?
You start at Praça da Liberdade, then pass Museu Regional do Algarve, Arco do Repouso, the Municipal Museum of Faro, Santa Maria Cathedral, Porta Nova, Arco da Vila, Doca de Faro and the Monumento. It finishes at Pier de Faro, so it is a one-way route rather than a loop.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about an hour and three quarters, close to two hours, including walking and puzzles. The route covers 1.7 km. You can pause at any point, stop for a coffee or a meal, and continue later from where you left off.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. There is no fixed time slot and no group to join: you start whenever you like and play at your own pace, guided by the app on your phone rather than a live guide.
Is it good for kids?
The quest is tagged family friendly, and the puzzles are set in what you see at each place, so children who can manage a 1.7 km walk and enjoy solving challenges can join in. The storyline is built around romance, so couples remain the main audience.
Is it all outdoors, and what should we bring?
The walk takes place outdoors through the streets of the old town and down to the waterfront. Bring a hat, sunscreen and enough water, and make sure your phone is fully charged or carry a power bank, since the game runs on your phone throughout.
