Questions fréquemment posées
Where does the Prenzlauer Berg walk start and finish?
It starts at the corner of Oderbergerstr, Schwederstr and Eberswalderstr and finishes at Platz des 9. November 1989. It is not a loop, so you end up somewhere different from where you began, after passing stops such as Gethsemanekirche, Falkplatz, the Gleimtunnel and the Schwedtersteg footbridge.
How long does the quest take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about three hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 5.4 km across 14 stops through Prenzlauer Berg and the former border area, so wear comfortable shoes and allow the time. It is best played during the day.
Can we play together as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples or families can follow the route and solve the puzzles on a shared phone. There is no group to join and no guide, so you set your own pace.
Is it suitable for children?
It is tagged as a recommended activity for families. Older children who can manage 5.4 km and around three hours of walking, and who enjoy puzzles and history about the Stasi and the Peaceful Revolution, are the best fit. Very young children may find the distance too long.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No time slot is needed. You start whenever you like on your phone, and you can pause the quest and continue later, which helps on a long walk like this one. Daylight hours work best for seeing the places along the route.
