Questions fréquemment posées

Does this walk cover Baia Mare's old town?

Yes. It leads you through the old parts of the city, starting at The Wood Gate, then Sfatul Batranilor, St. Anton's Church, Saint Stephen Tower, The Bells, The Sigil Fountain, The Old House, The Old Gate and Baia Mare Protestant Church, before finishing at the stop called Final One.

Does the route include Saint Stephen Tower?

Yes. Saint Stephen Tower is the fourth stop, reached after St. Anton's Church and followed by The Bells. As at every stop, the app tells the story of the place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.

Is this a guided tour of Baia Mare?

No, it is self-guided and played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, so there is no guide and no group to join. You can start any time without booking, and pause and continue later if you need a break.

How long does it take and where does it finish?

Most players take about 100 minutes, walking and puzzles included, over 1.6 km. You start at The Wood Gate and finish at Final One, so it does not return to the start. The route is open around the clock, but it is better in daylight.

Is it free, and can we play together as a couple?

It is free to play. The quest is tagged as fun to do as a couple, and the time-travel memory story with puzzles along the way gives you something to work out together as you walk the old centre.
