This 2.6 km loop starts and ends at the Schlafly Library, passing the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, the World Chess Hall of Fame and Chase Park Plaza Cinemas while you work out who took the Golden Shamrock. Friends, couples and families get around 90 minutes of outdoor sleuthing. Anyone set on an indoor escape room or a live guide should choose another option.

Is this a scavenger hunt in St. Louis?
Yes. It is an outdoor detective mystery played on your phone. The app leads you through 12 stops, tells the story at each one and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you, as you work out who took the Golden Shamrock.
Where does the hunt start and finish?
It starts at the St Louis Public Library, Schlafly Library, and loops back there at the end. Along the way you pass places such as St. Elizabeth Hall, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, the World Chess Hall of Fame and Chase Park Plaza Cinemas. The route is about 2.6 km.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Plan for around 90 minutes at an easy walking pace, depending on how quickly you solve the puzzles. You can pause at any point, stop for food or a coffee along the route, and continue later from where you left off.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever suits you. One ticket covers your whole group, playing together on up to the number of devices stated for the ticket.
