A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️

Starting at LBC, this Halloween trail runs 2.1 km through St. Augustine in around 90 minutes, as you catch ten restless spirits, crack ciphers and riddles only the street can answer, and work out which ghost is lying. Friends, couples, families with older kids and puzzle fans who prefer playing to listening will enjoy it. Anyone wanting a live guide retelling the city's known legends should choose a guided walk.

It is a self-guided ghost hunt played on your phone, not a guided tour. The app leads you across town to ten invented restless spirits, each with unfinished business to solve. Expect about 90 minutes and 2.1 km on foot, and stories you will not hear from the city's usual ghost guides.
Is it a good Halloween activity in St. Augustine?
Yes. This is a Halloween edition: a hooded Oracle sends you out as a ghost hunter to catch spirits loose on the streets and name the Evil One. There is no fixed time slot, so you can fit it around other Halloween plans and start whenever suits you.
Is it like a haunted escape room?
It plays like an outdoor one. Each spirit is a mystery to solve, and catching it gives you a clue. You crack ciphers and riddles, some of which only the street in front of you can answer, then use the trail of clues to identify and destroy the Evil One.
Where does it start, and do we need to book a time?
The hunt begins at the first point on the route, labelled LBC in the app. You do not book a time: start when you like, play at your own pace, and pause and continue later if you need a break along the 2.1 km walk.
Can we play as a group, and is it suitable for kids?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated. It suits older kids who enjoy spooky stories and solving riddles. With a lying spirit, an Evil One and cipher puzzles, very young children may find it too scary or too hard.
