Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Saint Mary Evangelical Cathedral and is played as a loop. The last stop is the Hotel Împăratul Romanilor. Along the way you visit the Guilds Tree, Butoiul de Aur, the Medieval Hospital, the Bridge of Lies and the History of Pharmacy Museum, in that order.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about 70 minutes, a little over an hour, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route is short, around 1.1 km through Sibiu's historic centre, so you can go at an easy pace and stop to look around at each landmark.
Does it cost anything, and can we play as a group?
The quest is free to play. Friends, couples or families can walk it together and solve the riddles as a team on a phone. Each riddle ties to a landmark in front of you, such as the first hospital or the pioneering restaurant.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed and there is no group or guide to meet. Start whenever you like on your phone, pause for a coffee or a museum visit, and continue later from where you left off.
What is the best time of day to play?
The route is open 24 hours a day, but it is better during daylight hours, when the landmarks and the details your puzzles depend on are easier to see. The whole walk is outdoors, so plan around the weather.
