Does this walk follow the Von Trapp family's escape route?
Not exactly. The story is set in 1938 on the family's last day in Salzburg before they flee, so you explore the city rather than retrace the escape. The route covers ten places, from Mirabell Gardens via Salzburg Cathedral and Stift Nonnberg to the Burgermeisterloch.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Mirabell Gardens and finishes at the Burgermeisterloch. It is a one-way route, not a loop. In between you pass the Pegasus fountain, the Dwarf garden, the Salzburger Marionettentheater, Karajan's house, Sterngäßchen, the Pferdschwemme, Salzburg Cathedral and Stift Nonnberg.
How long does it take, and can we take a break?
Most players take about two hours over 3.9 km, walking and puzzles included. There is no time slot to book, so you can start whenever suits you. You can pause for a snack or a rest and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. It is tagged kid friendly and written as a family story in which you lead the seven Von Trapp children through the city. It suits primary-school-age children best, because the walk covers 3.9 km and takes about two hours.
Can we play as a family group?
