Preguntas frecuentes
What is the Julia quest in Rome?
It is a self-guided walk played on your phone, built around a mysterious guide and a forgotten spirit. Along the way you find hidden messages, strange encounters and ten life lessons disguised as a game. The mood is soul-searching and slow, made for wandering rather than rushing.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Castel Sant'Angelo, crosses St. Angelo Bridge and passes Piazza di San Simeone, Santa Maria della Pace, Sant'Agnese in Agone, the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, Corsia Agonale, San Nicola dei Lorenesi and Laganà. It finishes at Sant'Antonio dei Portoghesi, not back at the start. The route covers about 1.7 km.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about two hours, walking and puzzles included. The distance is short, so much of that time goes on looking, reading and solving at each stop. You can pause whenever you like, stop for a coffee and continue later from where you left off.
Can we play as a couple or group, and is it suitable for children?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on the walk. The puzzles are rated medium difficulty and the theme is reflective, about life lessons rather than adventure, so it suits teenagers and adults better than young children.
Do we need to book a time, and when is it best to go?
There is no time slot to book and no group to join, so you can start whenever suits you. The route is open 24/7, but it is better during daylight hours, when the details you need for the puzzles are easier to spot. Dress for the weather between stops.
