Is this a good way to visit Redondo Beach for the first time?
Yes, if you want more than a plain stroll. The route covers Veterans Park, the Historical Library, the pier entrance, Fishermans Wharf, the International Boardwalk, King Harbor and Moonstone Park, with stories about resorts, fishermen and forgotten beaches, and puzzles solved in the places you visit.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Veterans Park and finishes at the Old Salt Lake Historical Marker, so it does not end where it began. In between it follows the waterfront past the pier, Fishermans Wharf, the International Boardwalk, the King Harbor Historical Plaque and Moonstone Park.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about 100 minutes, so plan for close to two hours including walking and puzzles. The route is 3.3 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, which helps if you want to stop for food on the pier.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is tagged as a family favourite and works best for school-age children who like solving puzzles in the real world. Younger children may tire over 3.3 km and nearly two hours. Bring hats, sunscreen and enough water, as the tags recommend.
