Where does the Ostend quest start and finish?
It starts at Station Oostende, which is handy if you arrive by train, and finishes at the Vistrap. It is not a loop, so you end up at a different spot from where you began, after stops such as Canadaplein, Marie-Joséplein and Wapenplein.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take just under two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 3.1 km through the city. You can pause along the way and continue later, so a coffee or lunch break fits in easily.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, it is family friendly. The route mixes riddles, brainteasers and things to spot with a funny story and local myths. It works best for children old enough to read clues and enjoy puzzling them out, ideally with an adult helping on the trickier riddles.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone, so a family or a group of friends can walk the route and solve the riddles as a team.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. You can start whenever you like, there is no group to join and no guide to wait for. The app leads you from stop to stop, and you can pause and pick it up again later.
