It’s sometime in the early 1880s. You are a good friend of the feminist author Amalie Skram and you want to meet her at the theater to see a production of Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll's House”.
However, Amalie doesn’t arrive. Instead a messenger boy appears and hands you a note. Amalie's latest manuscript has disappeared. Are you up for the challenge to explore 1880's Oslo and find Amalie's lost manuscript?

Readers drawn to Amalie Skram, Ibsen-era Kristiania and feminist history can chase her missing manuscript through central Oslo, from the Nationaltheater past Grand Cafe and Stortinget to Youngstorget. It is a compact puzzle hunt of about 50 minutes over 1.5 km, suited to couples, friends and older children who like clues. Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Nationaltheater and finishes at Youngstorget, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass the Old University, Cappelen Forlag, Grand Cafe, Freia, Stortinget and the Cathedral, in that order.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take about 50 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers around 1.5 km through the centre of Oslo, between the Nationaltheater and Youngstorget.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the same phone, so friends, couples or a family can follow the clues and hunt for the lost manuscript as a team.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. You can pause and continue later. The quest recommends playing during the day rather than at night.
Does the quest tell the history of each place?
No. This is a scavenger hunt that does not include stories about the places. The story frame is set in the early 1880s: you are a friend of Amalie Skram, her manuscript has vanished, and you solve puzzles along the route to find it.
