Para quién es
From Plaza Park, the route covers about 2 km past Parker House, Orange Army Navy and Chapman University's Elliott Alumni House, with a witch to outsmart over around 90 minutes. Friends who would book an indoor escape room get the same teamwork on open streets, and Oz readers get a tale based on Baum's 1900 novel. Preguntas frecuentes
What is the Oz experience in Orange?
It is an outdoor, escape-room-style game played on your phone. A new story inspired by L. Frank Baum's 1900 Oz novel leads you between real places in Orange, where you crack puzzles to outsmart the witch. Original Oz-themed songs made for the game play in the app and stay available afterwards.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
You begin at Plaza Park and walk about 2 km, with stops that include Parker House, Orange Army Navy, Sierra Produce and the Chapman University Elliott Alumni House. Plan on around 90 minutes, though your pace on the puzzles will make it a little shorter or longer.
Do we need to book a time slot, and can our group play together?
There is no booking slot, so you can start whenever suits you. One ticket covers your whole group, and you work through the clues together as a team. If you prefer, you can also play solo and try to place well on the leaderboard.
Is it suitable for kids?
Families with kids and teens play it, and the Oz story is a friendly theme for them. The puzzles are escape-room style and the route covers about 2 km on foot, so younger children will likely need an adult helping with clues and setting the pace.
Can we pause, and what happens if it rains?
Yes, you can pause at any point and continue later from where you stopped. The game is played outdoors on the streets around Plaza Park, so on a wet day it is worth waiting for a drier spell or bringing rain gear.
