Sobre esta experiencia
🍀 The Case of the Lost Luck: An Outdoor Detective Mystery Game 🍀
Fortune has faltered with the mysterious disappearance of the Golden Shamrock. As luck spirals into chaos—clocks stop, signs fall, and the bakery's ovens cool—you are summoned to unravel this enigma.
Was it the reticent leprechaun, Rusty, with his mischievous past? Finn McGuire, the desperate pub owner last seen with the shamrock? Or perhaps the mayor himself, whose ambitions might be fueled by the town's misfortune?
¿Es para ti?
Para quién es
Starting at Manchester Central Library, this 1.9 km detective route leads you past the Portico Library, Manchester Art Gallery and the Royal Exchange Theatre as you weigh suspects from a leprechaun to the mayor over about 90 minutes. Friends, couples and mixed-age families who like a light, playful mystery outdoors will enjoy it. If you want a guide explaining the city's landmarks, or somewhere indoors, pick something else.

Preguntas frecuentes
Is this a mystery game I can play in Manchester without a guide?
Yes. It is a self-guided outdoor detective mystery played on your phone. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets puzzles to help you work out whether Rusty the leprechaun, pub owner Finn McGuire or the mayor took the Golden Shamrock.
Which Manchester sights does the route pass?
The route has 11 stops, including The Portico Library, Manchester Art Gallery, the Royal Exchange Theatre, St Anne's Square and St Mary's RC Church, plus places such as Grand Pacific and Mulligans. It is a compact way to see a stretch of the city centre while you solve the case.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at Manchester Central Library. The walk covers about 1.9 km and takes around 90 minutes, though you can take longer if you stop along the way for a break or a closer look at the places on the route.
Do we need to book a time, and can our group play together?
There is no set time to book. You start whenever you like, with no tour group and no guide, and one ticket covers your whole group. If you need to stop partway, you can pause the game and continue later from where you left off.
Is it still worth doing in the rain?
The game is played outdoors as you walk between stops, so in wet weather bring a coat or umbrella. Because you can pause at any point and carry on later, it is easy to duck inside for a while and pick the mystery back up when the rain eases.
