Where does the Dulwich walk start and finish?
It starts at West Dulwich Station and finishes at the final stop, Remember William Blake. It is not a loop, so you end somewhere different from where you began. On the way you pass Belair House, Lovers Walk, the Picture Gallery, Christ's Chapel, the Dulwich College Burial Ground and several murals.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
The route covers 4.1 km, and most players take close to three hours, around 160 minutes, including walking, reading the story at each stop and solving the puzzles. You can pause and continue later, so there is no need to do it all in one go.
Is it suitable for children?
It works best for families with teenagers. The story follows a 17-year-old and involves deciphering symbols and clues, and the walk runs to about three hours over 4.1 km. Younger children may find the length and the puzzles a stretch.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone, so friends, couples or a family can follow the story and work out the puzzles side by side as you walk through Dulwich.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever you like from West Dulwich Station. If you need a break, at a pub on the route for example, you can pause the game and pick up where you left off.
