In a fictional story, you will explore many famous buildings of London, including Lincoln's Inn Chapel, Middle Temple, St Paul's Cathedral and St Bride's Church, solving clues left in a centuries old notebook.
The story is family friendly and there are a variety of puzzles but this questo is ranked as our hardest level of difficulty and some puzzles are challenging. All have hints to help and we expect most solvers to need some!

Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the British Museum and finishes at Paternoster Square, so it is not a loop. In between you pass Bloomsbury Square, Lincoln's Inn Fields and Chapel, St Clement Danes, Middle Temple, Temple Church, St Bride's, St Martin within Ludgate, St Paul's and Temple Bar.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take just over two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 3.8 km through Bloomsbury, legal London around the Inns of Court and on to St Paul's, and you can go at your own pace.
How hard are the puzzles, and is it suitable for children?
The story is family friendly, but this quest is ranked at the hardest difficulty level and some puzzles are genuinely challenging. Hints are available for every puzzle. It suits older children and teenagers who enjoy tricky clues better than young children.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the same walk, so friends or a couple can work through the clues side by side and share the story as you move from stop to stop.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking or fixed time is needed. You start whenever you like from the British Museum, with no group to join and no guide. You can pause the quest, stop for a break, and continue later from where you left off.
