Is this a detective game in Lille?
Yes. On your phone you lead the investigation into the Golden Hand, an elusive counterfeiter the whole city police force is chasing. You follow clues and solve puzzles built into the streets and buildings around you, at your own pace and without a guide.
Does the route pass the Porte de Paris?
Yes. Porte de Paris is the third stop, after Place de la République and Christ Church, and before Hospice Gantois and Église Saint-Maurice. The app leads you from place to place, so you do not need to plan the way there yourself.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts at Place de la République and finishes at Pont Napoléon, so it does not return to the start. The route is about 3.7 km, and most players take a little over two hours, walking and puzzles included.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no time slot to book: you start whenever you like, and you can pause and pick up again later. The route is open around the clock, but it is better played in daylight.
Is it suitable for children?
It works well for families with older children who enjoy following clues and solving puzzles, and who can walk around 3.7 km over a little more than two hours. Very young children may find the length and the puzzle-solving hard going.
