A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️

Is this a ghost tour of Jersey City?
It is a self-guided ghost hunt played on your phone, not a guided tour. Ten restless spirits created for the game, not names from local history books, are loose on the streets. You solve each spirit's mystery, catch it, collect its clue and finally name and destroy the Evil One.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for a walk of about 2.4 km through town, outdoors on the streets. Some riddles can only be answered by looking at what is in front of you, so allow time to stop and search. You can pause and continue later if you need a break.
Where does the ghost hunt start?
The route begins at Point 1, marked LBC in the app, and the app leads you from place to place after that. You start whenever you like, so there is no meeting point to reach at a set hour and no group to wait for.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is tagged Horror and Haunts, with a Halloween story, a lying spirit and an Evil One to destroy, plus ciphers and riddles to crack. It suits older kids and teens who enjoy spooky puzzles. Younger children may find both the theme and the codes too much.
