Expect about 2 hours and 2.8 km on foot. If you would rather ask questions of a live guide, or cannot manage nearly 3 km in the Hoi An sun, pick something else.

Is this like an escape room game in Hoi An?
It works like an outdoor escape game played on your phone. You walk through the Ancient Town and solve riddles based on what is in front of you at each stop. The story follows Aiko on a mission to protect the Spirit Lantern, from Hội An Central Park to Sông Hoài Square.
Does the route pass Hoi An's markets?
Yes. The Fabric Market and Hoi An Central Market are the fourth and fifth stops, after the Army Blockhouses and the Precious Heritage Art Gallery Museum. You can pause the game if you want to linger and browse, then continue when you are ready.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts at Hội An Central Park and finishes at Sông Hoài Square by the Japanese Red Seal Ship Model, so it does not end where it began. The route is 2.8 km, and most players take about 2 hours including walking and puzzles. You can start any time.
Do we need any other tickets, and can we play as a group?
One quest ticket covers the whole group playing together. You will need to buy the Ancient Town entrance ticket separately. Some stops are temples and chapels, so dress respectfully, and bring a fully charged phone or a power bank.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged family friendly, and the riddles and story give children something to do at every stop. It suits kids old enough to walk 2.8 km over about 2 hours outdoors. Bring hats, sunscreen and enough water, as most of the route is in the open.
