The walk starts at Opossum Park and covers about 1.9 km on foot. Along the way it visits the Bo Diddly Mural, Gainesville City Hall, First Presbyterian Church, the Visionary Fam Mural, the Tench Building, the Lady Justice Sculpture and the Hippodrome Theatre.
Are the haunted places on the route real local ghost stories?
No. The ten spirits are the quest's own Halloween story, not names from history books or other tours. You meet them at real downtown places such as City Hall and the Hippodrome Theatre, solve each ghost's mystery, and collect clues to unmask the Evil One.
Is it good for kids?
It suits older kids and teens who like a spooky story and enjoy ciphers and riddles. The theme is horror and haunts, with lost souls and an evil spirit to destroy, so very young children may find it too scary or the puzzles too hard.
Can a large group play together?
