La experiencia

Sobre esta experiencia

Barnacle Scallywag gained worldwide renown as one of the most infamous pirates in history. He journeyed over vast waters, pilfering precious valuables and wealth, concealing them in a secret location that has remained undiscovered by any soul.

You are Marcus, a 17-year-old residing in Costinești, a delightful seashore town nestled in the Black Sea, alongside your dad, Andrew. This marks the exact spot where your thrilling quest to uncover this renowned treasure commences.

¿Es para ti?

Para quién es

Families on a Costinesti beach holiday with older children and teenagers will enjoy this one: you play Marcus, a 17-year-old local, hunting a famous pirate's lost treasure across 11 stops and about 2.1 km, from Vox Maris to Discoteca Tineretului, in around 90 minutes. If you want to hear the history of the places you pass, pick another quest, since this hunt is about puzzles, not local stories.

Preguntas frecuentes

Does the treasure hunt pass the obelisk in Costinesti?
Yes. Obeliscul din Costinești is one of the stops, reached after Obelisk Intrare and Corsa and before the Debarcader. Expect a puzzle there rather than a history lesson, as this scavenger hunt does not include stories about the places.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Vox Maris and finishes at Discoteca Tineretului, so it does not end where it began. In between you pass Hotel Azur, Flute Guy, the disco ring, Casa Duca, Obelisk Intrare, Corsa, the obelisk, the Debarcader and La steaguri.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 2.1 km through Costinesti, and you can pause and pick it up again later if you want a swim or a snack along the way.
Is it suitable for kids?
It suits older children and teenagers best. The player takes the role of Marcus, a 17-year-old searching for pirate treasure with his dad, and the game is built around puzzles at each stop. Younger children can join in but will likely need an adult's help.
Do we need to pay or book a time to play as a group?
No. The quest is free to play, and there is no time slot to book or group to join. Start whenever suits you on your phone, play together as a family or with friends, and note that the whole route is outdoors.
