From Cincinnati City Hall, this 2 km downtown route takes in Piatt Park, the William Henry Harrison Statue and Court Street Plaza on the way to the public library, in around 90 minutes. Friends, couples, families and Oz fans will enjoy outwitting the witch together or racing the leaderboard solo. Anyone wanting a live game master and shelter from the weather should book an indoor escape room instead.

Is this an outdoor escape room in Cincinnati?
Yes. It works like an escape room played outdoors on your phone. Clues lead you to each new location around downtown Cincinnati, where you solve puzzles in what is in front of you to outsmart the witch. It covers about 2 km across 11 stops.
Is the Oz escape an event with fixed dates, or do we book a time?
It is not a scheduled event. You start whenever you like, with no time slot to book, no other groups and no guide. You can also pause the game and continue later, so it fits around the rest of your day in the city.
What is the Oz game about?
It is an all-new story inspired by L. Frank Baum's original Oz novel from 1900. You join a team of misfits and try to outsmart the witch by solving puzzles along the route. Original Oz-themed songs made for the game play in the app and stay available when you get home.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at Cincinnati City Hall. Plan on around 90 minutes to walk the 2 km route and solve the puzzles, with stops that include Piatt Park, the William Henry Harrison Statue, Court Street Plaza and the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library.
Can we play as a group, and what if it rains?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, or you can play solo against the leaderboard. The whole route is outdoors, so bring rain gear on wet days, or pause and pick up where you left off when the weather clears.
