The city feels older tonight. Heavier. Like something has been waiting a very long time for someone to come asking.
You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.
Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.
The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.
Keep your phone torch handy. You'll want it. 🕯️

Where does the ghost walk start and finish?
It starts at The Old Windmill and finishes at Old Government House, so it is not a loop. In between you pass Jacobs Ladder, Anzac Square, the Brisbane GPO, Brisbane Arcade, Queens Gardens, the Commissariat Store Museum and Queensland Parliament, among others.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 95 minutes, so allow 1.5 to 2 hours. That includes walking roughly 3 km between the 13 stops and solving the puzzle at each one. You can go at your own pace.
Is Queens Gardens on the route?
Yes. Queens Gardens is the seventh stop, reached after Reddacliff Place and followed by the Historic Queensland Government Printing Office. The app guides you there from the previous stop, so you do not need a separate map.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or couples can follow the case side by side on one phone and work out the puzzles together at each stop.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No set time is needed. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever suits you, including in the evening. You can also pause partway and continue the walk later.
