Starting and ending at the Willemsbrug, this 2.2 km loop through medieval Breda passes the Castle of Breda, the Spanjaardsgat watergate, the Church of Our Lady and the secluded garden of the Begijnhof. History-curious day-trippers and couples get the old centre in about an hour without booking a guide. It is best played in daylight, so pick something else if you only have an evening free.

Is this a city scavenger hunt through Breda?
Yes. Your phone leads you between 11 stops in the medieval centre, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. Along the way you pass the red bridge, the Castle of Breda, Het Spanjaardsgat, the Church of Our Lady, a former monastery, De Nieuwe Veste, the Begijnhof and the old city wall.
Where does the puzzle walk start and how long does it take?
It starts at Willemsbrug and ends back there, so you finish where you began. The loop covers about 2.2 km and takes about an hour at an easy pace, a little longer if you linger over the puzzles or stop for a coffee.
Can two adults play together on one ticket?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest, so a couple or a pair of friends can play side by side and solve the puzzles together without paying per person.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. You can pause the quest at any point, for lunch or a look inside a church, and continue later from where you stopped.
Can we play it in the evening?
We recommend not playing at night. The whole route is outdoors and the puzzles rely on spotting details in the streets, bridges and buildings around you, so plan to walk it in daylight for the best experience.
