Starting at the Mizner Park entrance on E Plaza Real, this 2.3 km route passes the Sanborn Square fountain, the Mizner Park Gazebo and the Amphitheater, with puzzles drawn from Baum's 1900 Oz novel. It suits a crew of friends after escape-room teamwork in the open air, or a reader who knows Dorothy's story by heart. Anyone wanting a live game master and a roof overhead should look elsewhere.

Where does the Oz escape game in Boca Raton start?
It starts at the entrance to Mizner Park on E Plaza Real at NE 3rd St, near Starbucks. From there the app leads you to stops such as Sanborn Square, the Cultural Center and the Mizner Park Gazebo, finishing at the Mizner Park Amphitheater.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to cover about 2.3 km and 11 stops, depending on how quickly your team cracks the puzzles. You can pause the game and continue later if you want to stop for food or a drink along the way.
Do we need to book a time slot like a regular escape room?
No. Unlike an indoor escape room with fixed sessions, there is no booking slot and no guide to meet. You start whenever your group is ready at the Mizner Park entrance and play at your own pace on your phones.
Can we play as a group, or can I play alone?
Both work. One ticket covers your whole group, so friends, families or work teams can solve the puzzles together. If you prefer to go solo, you can take on the witch's challenges yourself and compare your result on the leaderboard.
Is it suitable for kids?
The Oz storyline, original songs and clue-following suit families with older children and teens who enjoy puzzles. The challenges are escape-room style, so younger children will likely need adult help, and everyone should be comfortable walking about 2.3 km outdoors.
