What is there to do starting from Plaça de Catalunya?
This quest starts and finishes at Plaça de Catalunya, so you can begin right there. The loop takes in Parc de la Ciutadella, the Arc de Triomf, Santa Maria del Mar, Plaça del Rei, the Cathedral, Mercat de la Boqueria and Las Ramblas before returning to the square.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
Plan for a little over two hours, or around 2 to 2.5 hours with time to read the verses and work out the riddles. The route covers about 4.6 km on foot and ends back at Plaça de Catalunya, where it began.
Is it suitable for children?
The story was written mainly with adults and couples in mind: it begins with a grandfather's death and follows his poetry and riddles, with a cousin trying to erase his legacy. Older children who enjoy word puzzles may follow along, but the length and reflective tone suit grown-ups best.
