Decades ago, the Zodiac Killer carved those words into history then vanished into the fog. The case went cold. The city moved on. Until last night.
A high-security police vault has been breached. The thief ignored the cash and the narcotics but he took only one thing: the original Zodiac evidence files. Now a copycat calling himself The Disciple has scattered the 1969 artifacts across the city and marked innocent citizens for "collection," determined to finish what his Master started.
You're on the task force. Twelve locations, each tied to a Zodiac sign. No set order, only your instincts. And beware: some of them are traps designed to waste your precious time.

Across about 2 km of Austin streets, this outdoor case runs around 90 minutes as you chase a copycat called The Disciple, who has scattered stolen 1969 Zodiac evidence through the city. True-crime fans, friends and couples after a dark, cipher-heavy outing on their phones will enjoy it, starting whenever they like. Anyone uneasy with a story built on a real serial killer's words should choose a lighter quest.

Twelve marked locations across 2 km from Speedway, past Texas Memorial Museum, Littlefield Fountain, and University of Texas at Austin, in no fixed order, and some of the pins are traps.

Is this something we can do in Austin today?
Yes. There is no booked time slot, so you can start whenever you like, today or this weekend. Open the game on your phone at the starting point and the app leads you from place to place. You can also pause and pick it up again later.
How is this different from a Zodiac Killer escape room?
Instead of a locked indoor room with a fixed slot, this is a self-guided outdoor game played on your phone. You walk about 2 km through the city, solving puzzles set in the places in front of you while tracking a copycat called The Disciple, and you start whenever suits you.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes, with roughly 2 km of walking between stops. There is no guide setting the pace, so you can go faster or slower, take breaks, or pause the game and continue later. It is played outdoors, so dress for the weather.
Can we play as a group on one ticket?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. Friends and couples can solve the puzzles together, share theories about the stolen Zodiac files and work through the route as a team without joining strangers.
