This scavenger hunt is ready when you are.

Is there a self-guided quiz tour of central Athens?
Yes. This one is played on your phone with no guide. The app leads you through Monastiraki, Psirri and Plaka, past archaeological sites, churches and monuments, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle about what is in front of you.
How does the Athens treasure hunt app work?
You start whenever you like, follow the app from stop to stop and solve a puzzle at each one using what you can see around you. There is no group to join and no set time, and you can pause and pick up again later.
Where does it start and finish?
It starts at Monastiraki metro station and finishes at the Acropolis Museum, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass Adrianou street, Psirri, Monastiraki Square, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Church of Saint Catherine in Plaka.
How long does it take, and is it suitable for kids?
Most players take about two hours to cover the 2.6 km, puzzles included. It is tagged family friendly, so it suits children who can manage that walk comfortably, but note the terrain and elevation vary along the route.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no fixed start time to book: begin at Monastiraki metro station whenever you are ready, and pause for a cafe or a shop along the way if you like.
