Yes. You play it on your phone, and the app leads you through the historic centre from Castle Meadow past places such as the Royal Arcade and Norwich Lanes. At each stop it tells the story of the place and sets a riddle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide.
Where does the trail start and finish?
It starts at Castle Meadow and finishes at a stop called The Final Stretch, so it does not return to where you began. In between are 15 chapters over about 1.8 km, including The Animal Vicar, The Lost River, The Stone Heads and Peter The Animal Man.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take around 1.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. You do not have to finish in one go: you can pause at any point and pick up where you left off later, which helps with younger children or a café break.
