First-time visitors, couples and families get to know San Sebastián's Old Town at their own pace, with no tour time to meet. Over 4.7 km and just over three hours, you walk from City Hall past the Bretxa Market and Santa Maria Church to Zurriola Bridge, learning why the quarter was almost destroyed and what came after. If you want a live guide to question, or only a short stroll, choose something else.

Where is the Old Town in San Sebastián, and where does this walk go?
The quest covers the Old Town (Parte Vieja). It starts at the back door to City Hall and passes San Telmo Museum, Constitution Square, Fermin Calbeton Street, Santa Maria Church and the Sea Gate (Portaletas). It finishes at Zurriola Bridge, not back at the start.
Is there a market on the route?
Yes. The Bretxa Market is the third stop, right after San Telmo Museum, so you reach it early in the walk. The route also includes a stop called The Corner of Gastronomy later on, before the Sea Gate.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take just over three hours, walking and puzzles included, and cover about 4.7 km. The quest is best played during the day. It is a one-way route that ends at Zurriola Bridge, so plan your onward journey from there.
Is it good for families, and can we play as a group?
It is recommended for families and suits couples too. One ticket covers the whole group playing together. With over three hours and 4.7 km on foot, it works best for children who can manage a long walk and enjoy solving puzzles about what they see.
Do we need to book a time, and can we take breaks?
No booking or fixed start time is needed. You start whenever you like at the back door to City Hall, with no group to join and no guide. You can pause the quest at any stop, for food or a rest, and continue later.
