The 1.6 km walk takes about 1.5 hours, from 'You Are Now Entering Free Garbatella' to the Albergo Rosso. You can walk through its most characteristic streets and see work by artists such as Sten & Lex, Jerico and Lolo & Diamond. Stops include CSOA Della Strada, the Garden of Grandad Franco and the Mural of the Constitution, with stories of a century of rebellion and resistance.
Is this a good street art walk in Rome?
It focuses on Garbatella's murals, from Jerico's 'Supernova' and the 2013 Sten & Lex piece to Murale Guardiana and the Mural of Alfredino Rampi. At each stop the app tells the story of the work and sets a puzzle in what you see.
Where does it start and finish, and how long is it?
It starts at 'You Are Now Entering Free Garbatella' and finishes at the Albergo Rosso (The Red Hotel), so it does not return to the start. The route is 1.6 km and most players take about 1.5 hours, puzzles included.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. There is no group to join and no guide, so you set your own pace and can pause and continue later.
Do we need to book a time?
No, you can start whenever you like. The route is open at all hours but is better in daylight, and the last part of the game might not be available after 4 PM, so starting earlier in the day is the safer choice.
