Is there a murder mystery game I can play in Peterborough?
Yes. This is a self-guided detective game played on your phone on the streets of downtown Peterborough. You follow a 2 km route, hear the story at each place, gather clues and question suspects to work out who killed travel blogger Bella Wanderlust during a ghost tour.
Is this a murder mystery dinner?
No. It is an outdoor walking game, not a seated dinner with actors. The route does pass places to eat, such as Bhojan - The Indian Cuisine & Bar and Dante's Gourmet Burrito, and you can pause the game and continue later if you want to stop for a meal.
Is it a scheduled event, or do we need to book a time?
There is no set time and no group to join. You start whenever you like, play at your own pace with no guide, and can pause and pick up again later. That makes it easy to fit around a date night, a birthday or an afternoon downtown.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The route is a loop of about 2 km that starts and ends at ServiceOntario. Along the way it takes in Market Hall Performing Arts Centre, Victoria Park, the Dueling Grounds and Peterborough Public Library. Most players take about an hour and a quarter, including walking and puzzles.
Can we play as a group, and is it suitable for kids?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together, each on their own phone or sharing one. The story centres on a murder, so it suits adults, teens and older children who enjoy solving clues rather than very young kids.
