Where is the Tor, and where does the trail start and finish?
The walk begins at the Tor in Glastonbury, Somerset, then heads past White Spring and Chalice Well towards the Abbey and the town centre. It is not a loop: it finishes at The Pilgrims, so you end up in town rather than back at the Tor.
What can we see in Glastonbury on this walk?
The route takes in the Tor, The Gate, White Spring, Chalice Well, The Barn, Abbey Park, St Margaret's Chapel, the Abbey Entrance, the Market Cross, Knights, The Church and The Pilgrims, with stories of the town's legends and who is buried in the Abbey.
How long does it take?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 2.4 km. You can start whenever suits you and pause along the way, then carry on later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for children?
It works well for families with school-age children who enjoy puzzles, legends and a couple of hours on foot. It is best played in daylight, as playing at night is not recommended.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone. There is no set time slot, no group to join and no guide to meet, so you simply start at the Tor whenever you are ready.
