Christie and Poirot readers, couples and families who enjoy a whodunit will walk from Mayfair past The Ritz, the Agatha Christie memorial and St Martin's Theatre, home of The Mousetrap, to Russell Square, working out what happened to Poirot's pudding. The puzzles are medium difficulty, best for older children. Skip it if 3.4 km over more than two hours is too far, or you want a live guide to question.

Yes, this is a self-guided Christie mystery walk through the West End, played on your phone. Is this a self-guided walking route?
Yes. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like, pause and carry on later.
Where does it start and finish?
It starts at Flemings Mayfair Hotel and finishes at Russell Square, so it is not a loop. In between you visit The Ritz, Fortnum & Mason, Harvie and Hudson, Theatre Royal Haymarket, Leicester Square, the Agatha Christie memorial, St Martin's Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue and the British Museum.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take a little over two hours, around 2 hours 15 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 3.4 km. Because you can pause and continue later, you can stop for tea or lunch along the way without losing your place.
Is it good for kids, and can we play as a group?
It is family friendly, with medium-difficulty deduction puzzles that suit older children who can follow a mystery story, roughly 8 and up. It is free to play, so families, couples and groups of friends can all join in and solve the case together.
