Perguntas frequentes
Where does the Joliet secret society detective game start?
The game begins at the first point on the route, labelled LBC in the app. Once you start, the app leads you from place to place, so you only need to get yourself to that opening point.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to follow the whistleblower's trail and crack the puzzles. The route covers about 2.1 km on foot, so wear comfortable shoes and allow a little extra time if you like to linger over clues.
Is it suitable for children?
The story and puzzles are aimed at adults and teens who enjoy escape-room style challenges, such as decoding secrets and spotting clues in your surroundings. Families with teenagers are a good fit; younger children may find the conspiracy plot and code-breaking hard to follow.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, and there is no time slot to book. You start whenever you like, with no guide and no other players to wait for, which makes it easy to fit into a free afternoon or weekend.
Can we pause, and what if it rains?
You can pause at any point and continue later, so a coffee break or a sudden shower will not end your investigation. The game is played outdoors on city streets, so bring a jacket or umbrella if the weather looks uncertain.
