Starting at City of Fredericton, this 2 km walk passes the Fredericton Playhouse, St. Dunstan's and the Courthouse in around 90 minutes while you work out who killed a travel blogger on a ghost tour. Is this an escape room in Fredericton?
Not quite. Instead of a locked indoor room, you walk through Fredericton on your own phone, gathering clues, interrogating suspects and solving puzzles at real places along the route. You start whenever you like, with no staff or set session time, and work out for yourselves who killed Bella.
Where does the murder mystery start and how long does it take?
It starts at 1 City of Fredericton and takes around 90 minutes, covering about 2 km on foot. The route passes 11 stops, including Fredericton Playhouse, St. Dunstan's, Chancery Place, the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame and Fredericton Courthouse. You can pause and pick it up again later.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, and each player can follow along on their own phone. There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever suits you, which makes it easy to fit around dinner, a birthday or a night out.
