Yes. The route includes stops at Oscar Wilde House and the nearby Oscar Wilde Memorial, and the app tells the story of Lady Wilde's mystery illness along the way. These sit alongside the quest's other science and medicine stops, such as Sweny's Pharmacy and the Dublin Dental University Hospital.
Where does the science walk start and finish?
It starts and finishes at Science Gallery Dublin, so you end up back where you began. In between you visit stops including The Little Museum of Dublin, The Royal Irish Academy, the National Museum of Ireland and the School of Chemistry.
How long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
Plan for about an hour to walk around 3 km and solve the puzzles. There is no time slot to book. You start whenever you like on your phone, and you can pause and carry on later. One ticket covers your whole group.
When is the best time to play?
Play in daylight, as the quest is not recommended at night. To avoid large crowds around the stops, go on a weekday during working hours. That makes it easier to stand and look at each place while you work out the puzzles.
