Perguntas frequentes
Is there a historical mystery game I can play in Catania's old town?
Yes. This is a self-guided puzzle walk where your mission is to find the lost treasure of Saint Agatha before the Illuminati destroy it. Your phone leads you from site to site, tells each place's story and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
Which sights in Catania does the route visit?
In walking order, you pass Porta Garibaldi, Chiesa di Sant'Agata alle Sciare, the Benedictine Monastery, Chiesa di San Nicolò l'Arena, Terme della Rotonda, the Roman Odeon, Santuario Santa Rita in Sant'Agostino, Castello Ursino and Fontana dell'Amenano, finishing at the Basilica Cattedrale di Sant'Agata.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Porta Garibaldi and finishes at the Basilica Cattedrale di Sant'Agata, so it does not return to the start. The route covers about 2.5 km on foot through the historic centre.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take just under two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. You can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no time slot, and you can pause along the way and continue later.
Is it suitable for kids, and can we play as a group?
It is tagged family friendly and works well for school-age children who enjoy puzzles, with adults helping on the trickier ones, since the puzzles are fairly intricate. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the same phone.
