Where is the Patio de los Naranjos, and does this route pass it?
Yes. The Orange Patio sits with the cathedral gardens at Málaga Cathedral, and it is one of the stops on this route. You reach it straight after the stop at the cathedral and Plaza del Obispo, in the second half of the walk.
Does the quest go through Plaza de la Constitución?
It does. Plaza de la Constitución is a stop on the way back from the park, reached after the Monument to Marqués de Larios and just before the cathedral. The app guides you there from stop to stop, so you do not need a separate map.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
You start and finish at Plaza de la Merced, so it is a loop. The walk covers about 3.3 km and takes around an hour and a half, including the climb to Gibralfaro Castle. You can pause at any point and carry on later.
Do we need to book a time, and can a group play together?
There is no time slot to book. You start whenever you like, with no guide and no other groups. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest, so friends can solve the clues together.
Is this a history tour or more of a game?
It is played as a game. You are an art thief following clues to a hidden Picasso sculpture, solving puzzles set in what is in front of you. Along the way the app tells the story of each place, from the castle lookouts to the Roman Theatre view.
